I'm not the morals police or anything.. but things have been a bit out of control lately. We have younger members, and also ladies that frequent our BBS.

Sometimes other forums tend to be a bit dry, and we need a place to cut loose. I freely admit I'm as guilty (if not more) for posting some of the crazy stuff.

I'm not going to delete anything, but part of being unmoderated means that we should be more responsible for our own content.

Yup... just when I thought the group was being responsible and behaving like adults there is a thread on running a porn site and then the bouncing boobs avatar returns.

Where? I missed it.

Oh THAT post. Hey, I checked it out and if you skipped the porno the driving video of them driving thru traffic was cool. It wasn't like they were doing it in the van as they were driving.
I have seen/get spammed enough porno sites that I needed to see another

i think it's working pretty good (the self-moderation that is) considering some of the people involved in this BBS

no, seriously, we are doing pretty good.
obviously, with almost 700 members (and growing) you can't always satisfy everybody ...

I turned off avatar viewing weeks ago. And as far as the porn thread goes.... well, that's what they call "fair warning". Was the thread offensive? I don't know. I thougth it might be so I didn't look. Sounds like I made a good call.

Reminds me of the story about the lady who called the police. "My neighbor is walking around naked! I can see him through my bedroom window." Police dispatcher says "Maam, we'll send someone over, but you should just close your curtains or blinds." The woman replys "I did, but I can still see him when I stand on my dresser."
