For the past week ive been looking for a replacement dizzy. Had a refurb'd Bosch shipped to the FLAPS (autozone) turns out to be the incorrect one. So then my manager does a cross reference on the dizzy that came out of my 74' 1.8. Turns out to be a dizzy from a 74' 2.0. Is that possible? wacko.gif

If you were running the D-jetronic fuel injection, the stock 1.8 distributor will not work. (Nor will any distributor that is not a D-jet distributor with the second set of points in the bottom.)

The original 1.8 distributor would be some species of "205" distributor (I think all the stockers are, though!) and would have a vacuum dashpot on it and no injection trigger points.

With the 1.8L engine. Isn't it possible that it is L-jet and sombody
put in a D-jet dizzy from a 2.0 engine?
Wouldn't that work? (just not use the trigger points)
