You have to press out the pin.

Use different size wrench sockets and vise to remove the pin. Reverse to add the pin after adding new bushings. Be careful, the coupler can be broken very easily. I know from experience! Take your time and don't force anything.

The round pin is a press fit into the shift rod. I used a large deep socket and a press to put those bushings in.

I made this free tool; the larger of the two nuts is simply a spacer.
