Per the Pellican paper on cyllinder 1 the intake is on the outer right side edge looking from the drivers side toward the engine (cyl 1 is the rear back one)

Is this correct? the Exhaust is the next one to the left (3rd from left to right) correct.

Question my feeler gauge jumps from .006 .007 (no .008) then .009

Intake is .006 and Exhaust is .008 (2.0L)

This stinks ... I assume mine is just missing one?

A way to tell for yourself--

Look at where the intake tubes bolt up to the heads. They bolt up in the middle, right? Now look at where the exhaust pipes bolt up to the heads. Out closer to the edges, yes?

The valves on the inside are the intake, the ones on the outside are exhaust. They line up with their respective valves in the head.

The cylinder numbers are embossed on the engine tin. There should also be a diagram over on the left side of the engine bay.

Put a WTB in the classifieds for your missing feeler gauge bits. Some guys just put them together (you know, like how 1 and 1 makes 2) but I think that is wrong. That will give you a whole 'nother thread.

Cant you just glue a .001 and a .007 together? or maybe a .002 and a .006? If you weld them together it would offer a more permantent solution. confused24.gif

Yeah, sorry Todd. You're out of hand cream and paper towels too.

Maybe next time you could buy the soft kind.

NICE calendar by the way! wub.gif
