the stock temp sensor is 'threaded' into the head ...... it looks like this:

Don't just pull!!!!!

Most people make a tool by notching a socket extension so the wire can pass through the socket and you can still turn it!

If you are just talking about seperating the wires then yes you can just pull them apart at the plastic piece!

The white wire on the harness has the plastic clip molded around it. unplug the black wire, from the plastic surround. Just do it carefully... that harness is in amazingly good shape Jaime. Looks like you've gotten a lot done on it so far. Looking forward to resealing it smile.gif

Not quite. Both the male and female plug ends pull out of the insulator. Is not"molded" to the wire end.
