The hats are sitting on top of the CB aluminum plates. I don't think it would seal well enough without the plates.

Nope, they were just long enough.

You can open the filter and unscrew the long stud a couple turns. Should have enough meat on them.

whats the thread on them? m5? m4? looks like you ditched the wingnuts

Can you make them in a gray and sized to fit the long. covers? Im thinking behind the jack point.
