As the title says. Are the copper sealing rings between the head and heat exchangers the same between the different 4 cyl engines?
I have a bunch of new ones but I don't remember which engine they were ordered for.

1.7, 1.8 are the same. 2.0 is larger

Larger inside diameter, same outside diameter. They'll work for 1.7/1.8 engines.

I’m looking for the apartment # for rings that will fit the 1.8 Motor.
The local VW shop had some with PN: 021-256-2651A, but they know whether they would fit the 1.8

021.256.251 A is the 1.7 part number.
039.256.251 is the 1.8 and 2.0 part number, according to the parts book.
