WOW. the 2.7 RS spec motor is amazing. It will pull from under 3000 RPM, blast from 4000-6000 and keep on running up to 7000 rpm. What an amazing sound!

I now bellieve the 5500 cutout had something to do with the Marelli dist. The Bosch runs great.

Yesterday, i spent about 2 hours balancing the carbs to about as perfect as they come. Each side is balanced perfectly to each other, and the linkages are now set to produce the same airflow at the same throttle position.

Something is screwed up with the timing marks. I swear, I have to set everything to 180 out. I spent 45 minutes on the road tuning the dist by ear. The engine now runs fantastic. There is a real kick in the back when you stomp the accellerator.

All that is left is pulling the tranny, installing the LSD and replacing the clutch disc.

And Polishing the wheels. Maybe a louder exhaust! Oh yeah, and getting my front valence from San Diego.

Side note: CHT, after running most of the afternoon did not rise above the mid section.
