The rain hats seem like a reasonable, cost effective alternative. Intake noise good!

Those look like the same thing as the cb performance turbo hats. Plenty of room for stacks and air flow. But why would you want to defeat the beautiful sounds of air intake?

Its a pretty popular setup over in Germany where the sound regulations are very strict and you need to pass a DB sound test to get an inspection.
I will probably go for that also, but I need to research getting the air filter element...is it easy to get?
I saw another similar setup from another German tuner firm...but it uses the beetle air cleaner box for the middle piece so the filter is easy to find in the states.
There is also a carbon fiber one out there in Germany somewhere...another tuner shop.
