And not sure if I want to part it out or just pass it on.

Somebody give me $750 for this thing (which is what I have in it) and it's yours. I really don't have the room for it right now. I pick up my '87 Carrera next week. The Green car at Scotty's comes home in two weeks and Lew's car comes in the 3rd or 4th. I am overwhelmed by cars!

Clear NC title included!

The car is a '76 and the body is rusted beyond redemption (IMHO). It does have a lot of parts that are good:

1. The wheels are quality units that are actually bolted together. They fit the VW pattern.

2. Good looking steering wheel

3. Supposedly rebuilt engine with 5K miles. Thought it was a 2.0...looks like a 1.8 with dual webers

4. Fiberglass flares (one of them damaged):

5. Plus a California dash (with EGR and CAT lights):

6. Plus a decent hood, glass, etc.....

Anybody want to buy it or should I start parting it? confused24.gif

It's worth the trip for somebody...only $750 and you get a complete car with title and free rust! smile.gif

I imagine the flares and rims alone are worth the price. Then you get a complete engine/transmission and other bits for free.

I've made several 12+ hour trips (each way) for lesser cars.

Somebody get in their truck, rent a U-Haul trailer, and take the pink nightmare away av-943.gif

Oh, and as a special bonus the cable to the front truck is broken and I haven't opened it yet...who knows what treasures lie within! Think of it as a grab bag!!!!!!!!!

BTW...Many thanks to Phil W and his son for helping me load it. He even gives it a "thumbs up"! aktion035.gif

No love for this monstrosity? At this price I thought it would be gone by now.

Guess I'll give it a week then start parting it out.

I had to search through the thread to see your comment on post #8 about a price. I edited your first post and added that so that it will be easy to find. That may help; It may not. icon_bump.gif

I was hoping it was a 2.0. Unfortunately, it looks like it has been changed out with a 1.8.

Hard to tell from the pic but i was guessing it was a 2.0. Spark plug holes in the tin dont look like they are in the 1.7/1.8 location. Also 75/76 1.8 would usually have a different oil filler.

the pic is not the best angle to tell from though.
