For every 914 and 914/6 owner out there! Even the shade tree or "moonlight" mechanic can install these Emergency Brake Cable Boots. All they may be needed is the rubber lubricant of your choice! Glycerin works well and is widely available at Pharmacy's in the US.
These boots were designed by Porsche to keep water, dust, dirt, sand and salt out of the unprotected portion of your Emergency Brake Cables. Porsche discontinued making these boots and they been unavailable for quite some time.
Don't let water get back into the NLA metal Emergency Brake Cable tubes and rust the tubes & the cables! Prevention does work.
