When I was a young teenager some of the racing drivers like Jim Clark, Graeme Hill and jack Brabham and company used to stay at or hang out at our family's motel partly because it was close to the McLaren garage just up the road where they used to prepare the Formula One cars. I used to be their taxi on occasions in my 1937 Ford 10. They were a cool bunch of guys. Bruce Mclaren, Chris Amon and Denis Hulme were our idols and turned huge numbers of kiwis into petrol heads.
As the clip shows though McLaren was much more than a racing driver and left quite a legacy. Thanks for putting that up.

So many great drivers died in the 70's.

To die doing what you love is a special thing, but to do what you love and live a full life doing it is better.
