I have replaced the throttle cable on my 73 1.7 ok.....When I got the car the cable was sandwiched between the shelf seal near bulkhead...Is this the correct location of entry into the engine bay??! hissyfit.gif

No. If I recall, the cable is routed through a hole in the engine tin using a grommet in the hole. I think the hole is on a horizontal section of the passenger side piece of tin that covers the cylinders (not home at the moment where cars and pics are)

agree.gif but whatever works. My carb setup works better if the cable comes up like yours.
