Full Version: What is the purpose of this part of 2L air cleaner?
Does anyone know what this part of the air cleaner does? There must be a reason.
Emissions? My 73 doesn't have it.

I know NOTHING about fuel injection or emissions since my car had a carb on it when i got it. But it looks very similar to the EGR valve inlet on my 96 Mustang...
Or a place to bolt up a verrrrry tiny turbo!
The cat tube connects there. CA models 75-76 only.

That would be connection for the "EGR tube".
