I'm looking for a rear tail cone from a 914-6 transmission. Anybody convert one to a side shift and have the tail piece sitting on a shelf?
Thanks, Bill

Bill, Do you have the shift mechanism ? and just need the cover only?
Peashooter
I have the shift mechanism, need the cover. Mounting ear got damaged.

If you need one I can make one from a 914-4, exact...no numbers or anything to tell from factory..I made one for myself, after some ear damage.

Will send pic of one at CAMP tomorrow.

Thanks guys...I thought of remachining a /4 tail cover. Is it difficult to do?

basically, cut the extra length off, machine flat, drill/ream for the bushing and counterbore for the seal. I made a plate that uses the 4 lower cover bolts to hold it in the mill.
