With our motors having multiple individual cylinders (4 or 6) is it good enough to use a single CHT monitoring gauge?
I've seen a few 2, 3 even 4 CHT readers in one unit. Whats required to give good tuning information
6 CHT's (1 per cylinder)
2 CHT's (1 per side)
1 CHT (Find the hotest cylinder & stick CHT there!)
What is the expected heat range of a 6 cylinder, 300F 350F??

1 gauge, 4/6 senders, and a switch to select which sender you view...
I think that is overkill though!! 1 sender, 1 gauge..should be enough

1 per side....is good, 1 only is adequate...1 per cylinder if you are in an airplane....

I'm running one gauge, four senders, two harnesses and a 6 terminal switch (double pole/pull, double throw?) and just plug the harnesses in to different pairs once in a while...all this to fine tune the cooling of the upright conversion shroud. I have another gauge, but need two more harnesses to make that work.
