For sale is a like new 914-6 oil tank. The tank was refurbished both inside and out. The threads are perfect and the inside is clean with no oil residue. This is a must for a 3.0 or 3.2 conversion and they are hard to find. Price is $1000.

At $1000, which is what a new tank is worth, I would like to know what "like new" actually means. Like new implies that is isn't but it looks like it is. It looks like the new tank that I bought a few years ago. Is it new or what?

Looks like it had a quick respray at some point. OEM tanks have a smooth painted finish over the copper plating.
