So with Bill Charron's capable machining and fabrication genius we put on a steering reducer.

How does it work. GREAT. But you better do your pushups, not for the faint of heart.

Drove the car down the access road (could be a hillclimb road) at Bill's house, after we finished and there is much less movement to get the car moving either right or left. Hence more control at autox's, expecially any slalom sections

If we had to do it again might have used the stock U joint as the one I bought from Coleman had to be modified a bunch to get the angle we needed. On the other hand it did have splines that match the reducer on one side, so didn't have to weld to the reducer.

You can see where we had to trim the stock bracked on the bottom next to the ujoint.

Also learned you could do it easier sitting in the driver seat as opposed to being upside down under the bracket with a cutting disk about 5" from you head. Also nicer not to have all the sparks flying around your face.
