Drove the car down the access road (could be a hillclimb road) at Bill's house, after we finished and there is much less movement to get the car moving either right or left. Hence more control at autox's, expecially any slalom sections
If we had to do it again might have used the stock U joint as the one I bought from Coleman had to be modified a bunch to get the angle we needed. On the other hand it did have splines that match the reducer on one side, so didn't have to weld to the reducer.
