The dude at Pelican can't seem to tell me what the amperage is for this relay.

Is there any way to tell?

The relay you are looking for is part number 141 951 253 B and is forsale for $6.75

I was thinking of putting one in with more amperage in place of the stock one since the addition of the H4's 100W, I believe.

100W @ 12v =8.3 Amps. Most relays are rated for 20 Amps minimum. You should be OK. Use 2 if you are worried.

A Google image search showed this:
http://www.amazon.com/RELAY-MULTIPURPOSE-1...T/dp/B00B2WQ6N0

It says 40A on it.

200W / 14V = 14A, which is well under 40. So it's fine.

If it makes any more difference, I am using those pilot lights as well.

Where do I stick the second relay?

Isn't the relay for the lights a round or, or is it rectangular?
Cap'n Krusty
Different. The relays at the lights are for the motors. The lights themselves don't have relays. This relay will be for the lights, which put too much load on the switch. Common VW problem.

So I never really had a relay for it under the dash??
