Yup,East coaster, a Puma. The owner told me there is only 500 registered in the US. Only 2 in MI. I asked him if he can get parts at FLAPS for it and he told me his source for parts- "I know a guy who knows a guy that goes to Brazil every few months"

I didn't see any of those when I went to Suriname. Do they still make em? I didn't think so.

I actually almost bought one of those once (a long time ago). It was a coupe; kinda cool looking IMHO and definitely rare in the States.

The main issue was that it drove, and looked (inside) exactly like a Bug. Which it is, basically, IIRC. I was looking for something with a bit more power, handling, and chick-attracting powers at the time.

It's essentially a Karmann Ghia with different sheetmetal. Er, I mean a 356. Um. . . you know.
