I would like to put my 70 back to stock, starting with the fuel injection. I have a pair of 40 IDF Italian webbers with intake manifold and cross bar that I would like to trade. Will buy the early djet system for the right price. Let me know what you have.

this will be interesting... what's a good mps going for these days? or a good d jet dizzy?

I have seen complete djet systems here for $200 - 250, rare but as low as $100.
One was sold here last week for $100 in my back yard.

The webber carbs are sold here between $300-425.

I already have a fuel pump for djet.

I think it's doable.

If anyone wants to do something like this for an L-jet let me know.
I have everything from my '74 1.8 except for the intake manifolds. Came off of my car complete with dizzy, known working without issue, new cap seal, good wiring, filterbox, brain, injectors, ect.
All in excellent condition.

Only reason I don't have the manifolds is I cut them down to fit on a 2.0 plenum when I was running SDS FI.

Are you set on using a Djet FI setup? You should take Mark up on his offerings and use his Ljet

I am not sure if I can use that in the 1.7, what will I do with the oil filler breather?

from my experience.....

MPS from this site = $75
Chris's rebuild kit = $150
Jeff rebuilds for you = $90

total MPS = $315 (in great condition)

dizzy = $100 (one that's not deep fried rusty inside)

the rest of the stuff is just dressing other than the injectors,
so say another $200 and hopefully the injectors are good.

so, an excellent set could/should be around $600 once all is said and done.
and then it'll be running the way Paul drives his vehicles....all the time.

you could get it for less, but you'll need to fix some of the stuff up a bit shades.gif

I ran a ljet on a 1.7L a few years ago, and it ran great. You'll need to cap off the head vents and buy a new oil tower (10 bucks ebay). It's an option if you wanna go down that road.

....you will find those DJet systems for $250, but I still think you'll need to add to the cost with something....fuel pump...injectors...or some expense that'll get you up to quality running condition.

unless, it's Scott or someone "giving" it away....I/you/everyone always hope for that.... flag.gif

sorry i thought i had what you need but it turns out most of what i have came from a 2.0.
stugray
I have one complete L-Jet & one complete D-jet both with MPS & Fuel pump.

I already have a set of Italian 40IDFs, but would consider having another.

I would gravitate towards the Ljet driving.gif
