I happened to notice this as I put the wheel back on yesterday. Cracks yikes.gif Is this a result of spirited driving? I found 2 different areas that have cracks.

Not so noticeable at first glance

Probably a combination of lots of things. 1st one being flawed metal casting. then add age and wear and tear.

wipe it off, its a rusty water stain.

That's what I was thinking. Obviously you can tell better in person than we can in the photo, but it sure doesn't look like a crack in the pics.

It's your life so you make the call on rust or crack.

I'd clean the area really good and use a crack detection kit. Just make sure you get the "metal crack" detection kit. biggrin.gif

I agree with the above....looks like rust streaks to me....

I can't tell if all these comments are about the wheels or the driver? happy11.gif lol-2.gif

I was going to suggest a solvent, but I think a diaper wipe would clear this on up! tongue.gif Scrub a little.

Don't look behind that panel, there's moss. It looks less like crack.

Oh, and to answer your original question..... Do you have a dog?
Because my webcam caught your dog peeing on your wheel.....
