So is this solenoid a direct "bolt-in" ? just requires the wiring, or is additional items need to make useable ? Appreciate your reply. Allan

It bolts in and needs to be wired. It is used when a car has the aftermarket Porsche reflector added so that the trunk can be opened woth out drilling a hole in the reflector. I do not recommend adding the reflector but if someone already has one installed then this is a good back up solenoid if one fails. With the addition of the reflector the owners also need to add a cable release in case their solenoid ever fails so that the can easily access the trunk.
