Back from anodizing... these cores came out well:
Close up of the nose:
DuroAno pistons are not only 1/2 the weight of the stock S-Caliper and stainless steel counterparts but, they'll never cause dissimilar metal issues ever again. Even stainless can cause the white corrosion... not DuroAno's.
Let the assembly begin...
New lines will determine which way the pistons go in. We always flip S-Calipers from their original orientation (they are omni directional calipers). In their original form they begin to score the top of the piston bore. When we flip them the slight scoring ends up on the bottom. The lines determine the caliper.
This line makes this one the passenger’s side caliper and... away we go.
Everything loosely put together:
New beehive bleeder caps... details, details, details.
Time to torque up the fluid inlet covers. I like to use 15lbft. for these. the fasteners are 12.9 so I go to the max. torque setting.
Some glam shots with a VW nod for the teeners.
