I installed a new (refurbished) pressure plate and disc today but the pressure plate did not slip right into the flywheel.
I had to pull it in with longer bolts and then remove those bolts and put the originals back in.
Even when pulling it in with the longer bolts it seemed to be a pretty tight fit.
Should I be concerned?

The locating dowels can be a pain in the arse. I would NOT have pulled it in with longer bolts. This can warp the hat of the pressure plate. I normally have the dowels out (have to remove them for surfacing the flywheel) and file them round. I then install the pressure plate with a soft faced hammer (plastic) tapping lightly near the dowels.

You *probably* wont have a issue...

Compressing the PP that much may throw off the fork and travel of same, may even bottom out on a full pedal stroke be careful there?
