I installed the rocker covers on the car today and after a bit of fiddling I got everything lined up. However, I have 2 weld nuts on one side that are no longer with us.. lol
One of them broke its weld when I ran a tap through it to clear the threads, and the other one by the jack post is MIA.. Anyone else run into this at this point in the game ? I'm thinking I'm going to just put a self tapping screw near the location of the now empty holes. Does this sound like it will do the trick ?
Cheers

Self tapping screws work OK for interior trim however anything else a weld nut is more appropriate. If you can't weld the nut back on you might look in to a riv nut.

It is basically a large rivet with a nut attached.

Hope this helps
