Hi all,

I picked up the wheels yesterday as planned (7x16s on left, 8x16s on right)

anodizing (or paint) in the centers is rough--non-existent on one of the eights (had been yellow)

checked the backspacing and offset using precision instruments

as near as I can tell, the offset is a little less than 1/2 inch (11mm) (assuming that offset is the difference between the backspace and 1/2 of the wheels width). Backspace looked like a shade more than 120mm

I couldn't find the PN on Jeroen's list, so I thought I'd post the "vital stats" too . . . .

So did I do OK?

The pic isn't clear enuf to read, but the offset should be stamped on the back of the wheel
ET xx (where xx is the # of mm offset)

I do need 16's but I know they are more than that, I was just trying to low ball you. I am a 914 owner and you know what they say. CHEEEEEEEP!

Yes, the "ET" is clearly marked on the 7s, but no "ET" can be found on the 8s.

The part number is 911.361.020 ("45"). The main part of the number corresponds to the 8x15 and 9x15 on your list, but these are definitely stamped 8x16 . . . .

They sure are light though--I was shocked when I picked up the first one!

those look like:
7 inch 911 Rears
8 inch 911 Rears

Looks like the 8" are 944 turbo fuchs (125mm backspacing)
Those are great for mounting up front on a narrow body 911 (SC or Carrera 3.2)

the 7x16 only came in one offset, no difference between front/rear use

914/6 GT cars came with 8 inch rear sheels, FWIW.

Dunno about offset. I'm likely gonna flare my car this winter, and I'm thinking of getting the very wheels you have.

if those are the 951 offset 8" rims, you are better off selling them (at about $300 each) and go with the regular 911 8" wide rims for a car with GT flares....those rims will sit too far inboard and look goofy unless you run spacers at least 1" wide in the rear...quite a GT flared cars runs 16x7 with 225's on the front (1" spacer to move wheel "out" to help fill up the wheel well) and 16x8s with 245's on the rear.

The 911 narrow body guys guys use the 951 eight inch Fuchs....guy down the street is looking for a pair.....lemme know.

The difference between the 911 and 944T 8" fuchs is only about 10 or 15mm in offset
So you can use em in the rear of a flared 914 (maybe use a small spacer)

You can also mount 'm up front and get some 9" for the rear

Or trade em for a nice set of 911 8"-ers

or...

I thought I had a pic of my 951 8's to go with these of the 7's. You can clearly see the difference between a 911 rear 7" and a 951 front 7". Not mentioned in the pic, is difference in the lug holes. Look carefully. I was surprised at the difference.
