Thanks to this forum, I found I need a noid light. (now I know what one is).

The ads say "for Bosche PFI", port fuel injection. Will any noid light work?

I realize I may have to use pins/adapters to hook one up.

I read the D-jetronic is 3 volts; don't know if other injection systems are the same.

A search hasn't help on specific lights.

Thanks,

Gordon

Many FLAPS rent/loan noid sets. One of them will likely work. My 993 injectors trigger at 3v, and I used a momentary 9v once to clear them of varnish. When I bought the engine in 1998 it had set up for two years.

Good luck

You could use a bulb from a flashlight, they expect ~3Volts.
Or one 5cent LED with a 1k Resistor wired in series.

A standard dash bulb would probably work as well, just might be hard to see.

I'm pretty sure this one would be fine. Looks like the ones I've used over the years. I'm gonna replace the last one I had with either this one:

or this one:

(Probably the first one 'cause it's not likely I'll ever need one as fancy as the latter.)

I've used my test light with two stiff wires inserted into the plug, just make sure they don't touch each other.
