I had my ignition switch turned on yesterday and I noticed the ballast resistor for the new ignition system really heated up. I would expect some heat but this was really cooking. Is this normal?

What are you running ?
But yep...they get hot.

I went Mallory 6AL to match the Unilite Distributor, and Mallory Coil with Seperate ballast resistor.
