Full Version: starter, is this a big problem
Went to start the car last night, an I hear a metalic thud. I wait a few seconds and try to start again. The starter sounds like it's metal rubbing on metal without any lube. It still works. I will pull the starter this weekend, what do you think I will fing.
Bad bearing? Shaft tweeked now? Could be a few things. I wouldn't mind seeing some pics when you pull the starter though. 
Check yer battery and ground strap on the transmission to the chassis before you pull the starter.
