for the most part i ship smaller items that fit flat rate boxes. shipped a non-oversized, 27# box and it's !! this was at a distribution center, NOT a fedex "office store". the bill would have been nearly double. fedex's fiscal year starts 6/1 and fees are adj on a quarterly basis. i think its going to make for harder sales on big items.

I've noticed that both UPS and FedEx rates seem to have jumped recently.
I ship GROUND. About $96 coast to coast for an 85# transmission.
I find FedEx is usually cheaper that USPS priority mail except for USPS flat rate boxes. I always do FedEx ground shipping for bigger items.
