I don't know what system this is (perhaps MSD); however, I have read that the Bosch blue coils aren't really compatible with most electronic ignitions.
I think my coil (Bosch) is shot. Should I buy an MSD brand coil?

That's a Crane Allison, and it's little more than a points replacement. Maybe cleans up the signal and strengthens it a bit. Works fine to at least 7200 RPM ...................
I like 'em, have one on my '65 911. The stock coil works fine, as does the Bosch Blue coil. What makes you think your coil is bad and in need of replacement? Not at all common.

Bill, same ignition system that's on 74, blue bosch coil is fine. I think I provided you a few spare coils. Check.
