might be in order. I was reassembling the tranny to the engine when I noticed a lot of movement going on between the engine and the mounting bar. Started me thinking about how there always seemed to be movement when shifting into 5th, and sometimes the shifter would be wobbling..

They look fine, they're tight, but it seems excessive regarding play.

I'm considering Jwest's nylon mounts, is anyone using them? I found an old thread but not much in the way there of a review...

Thanks,

Joe

I put nylon engine mounts on my car when I rebuilt the engine, i think I bought them from Pelican. I guess they work better but I could not stand the vibration noise. Re-installed the rubber mounts and the noise went away.

Unacceptably loud and transmit too much vibration for a street car.. New rubber is fine.

Check your trans mounts.
