We are trying to bring a 1970 914-4 back to like after a long(20+ years)storage. The original fuel pump is not repairable. We are looking for a replacement either good used or an aftermarket equivalent.A rebuilt original pump would also be considered. Thanks for your help.

A two prong fuel pump is much cheaper and easier to find. They work just as good as a three prong pump.

Converted my 1.7 last year will no problems. Just get rid of return line to fuel pump.

I got lucky and found a brand new Bosch pump on Ebay for $50!

Pelican Parts has one:

Auto Atlanta has rebuilts:

GPR Parts has new ones.

Maybe someone on this forum knows other sources.

I agree. Unless your a total concours guy, go with the later style pump. NAPA has a Bosch unit to fit our cars.

Moving the pump to the front with new steel lines in the tunnel is a good thing to do also.
