That is a first! Why?
....I've seen that shot before,!very intriguing location? 
(in the windshield,is best...in my opinion?)

Could it be that the driver would like to reach an arm out of the window and pull the antenna up rather than coming to a complete stop?
Wouldn't the vent window hit it when the window swings open?
How long does that antenna's coax cable last after a few hundred door cycles?
Old location of an aftermarket mirror.....fixed with antenna
