Can someone please post pics of how they routed their "stock" throttle cable to connect to the CFR linkage?

I tried it first with the "master" pulley on the passenger side front of carb.
That worked but forced the throttle cable to make one extra 180 degree turn and was binding the cable.
And having the linkage on the front of the carbs interferes with the ignition wires and engine tins more.

So I moved the master pulley to the drivers side rear of carb.
Now the throttle cable does not reach.

However I know that others have gotten it it work like that with the stock cable.

I just need to know the "sweet spot" to drill a new hole in the engine tins.

For starters, just run it between the tin and the rubber at the front of the engine.
Then you'll have a good idea where you can put a hole in the tin.
We installed one this way the other day.

That is how it is now. I figure I can get an extra inch of slack once I drill a hole.
I just wanted someone else to chime in before I go drilling more holes ;-)

thats the way i did mine. i just cut a notch in the rubber. i didnt have to drill a hole. my master/pulley is on the front of the pasenger side carb. i've set up two other cars the same way. throttle pedal is smooth as a babies ass.

Did you grease the new cables with anything or use right out of the bag?

The sheath has a teflon liner. That should be sufficient.
The only way there would be any significant drag is if it is too long and has to make a substantial bend between the brackets.
