We have a 73' 1.7 motor we are going to take up to a 2.0...Should we change the Heat Exchangers to the 2.0 style...

I seem to remember someone here saying that the 2.0 tubes were larger...Therefore better breathing for the exhaust ...

but you will need a 2.0 muffler and hanger

If ya get the stainless ones made by SSI....they are all the same tube size.

with Mikey. If you use the SSI ones they are the same inner diameter. The OEM 1.7 HEs are smaller so don't use them but I don't know if its 5 hp.
