Thanks. It still needs some clean up [overspray in the engine compartment, etc.] and other parts installed.

It's for the original air filter, which you obviously don't need.

i've always disliked the way most D-jet engine bays look -- but this is VERY nice!!! congrats

The PO fabricated a dual K&N air intake...it works pretty good. I have the original air filter assembly but for now the "barbell" stays.
PS those are nylon filter covers.

Looks great but dump the acidbattery for a Optima before you wreck the nice paint.

Looks good. I like it. What is the aluminum piece under the battery ?? Did you install a new tray/triangle ?

It's just a temp tray. I will be fabricating a new one out of aluminum once I have the new battery for fit.

WOW!!!!
That IS the nicest looking D-Jet engines I've ever seen and maybe one of the better looking Type IVs I've seen. Amazing what plug wires and that air-filter setup will do -- and the firewall looks great!
Very nice, and very inspiring!

Yeah, I'd like a bit more info on this set up, and a pic or two of how it's mounted to the throttle body. It really opens up the engine bay. Wonder if the nylon covers come in different colors?

Details and pics of the intake please!! Definitley nice stuff. The entire engine bay looks like a really tight clean package.

OK guys...but I need to finish a project first, then get cylinder #1 firing and the timing sorted out. Then I will take dimensions [ it's actually a plumbers pvc tee]and give you whatever info I have. This setup came from the PO so I can only guess at some aspects i.e. the mount to the throttle body is a little make shift but overall the bugger works!
Be back with all of this in a few days
