You guys probably know this, but belts out of an early model yr 924 like '78 or '79 bolt in perfect into 914's no modifications whatsoever. They look great and are retractable. The receiver part of the belt (rt side of driver, left side of passenger) are on a ridged mount that comes up high enough along side the back of the center pad to make it easy to clip in. Put 924 belts in my '73 914 years ago, much better than stock IMHO.

I don't like inertia reel seatbelts. I don't trust inertia reel seatbelts. The only ones I trust are the ones that "instantly" tighten with deployment of the air bag. Retractable seat belts were made for lazy people who couldn't be bothered with wearing a seat belt properly and stowing them properly when they weren't being used. Was that a rant? It sounds kinda like a rant.
