I just completed my 1st Motor/Trans removal and install beer3.gif

When they were out I did the following
1. Removed all of the wiring harnesses, cleaned, inspected and repaired any loose connections and fixed and insolation.
2. Removed intake (throttle body, plenum, intake manifolds) cleaned and replaced all gaskets.
3. Removed Dizzy
4. Removed all tins to clean, straighten properly align them
5. Removed the pulley used for the smog pump (pump long gone)
6. Cleaned the motor which wasn't that bad.
7. Made sure flaps worked correctly
8. Installed all of the tins in the correct order using new screws, became one solid part of the motor.
9. Installed the clean intake system with new gaskets.
10. Installed the wiring harnesses in a neat pattern to allow access to areas that I have had to work on (dizzy, TB).
11. Washed the motor area of the chassis
12. Put it all back in the car
13. Hooked up all of the wires and cables neatly.

I was very proud of how it looked.
Turned it over and it wouldn't fire. $hitt confused24.gif

1. I checked to make sure that all plug wires were connected correctly
2. Checked the injector connections to make sure they were not crossed
3. Checked all of the connections at the relay board

Still no fire, so I took of the dizzy cap to make sure timing was at least close (I had it marked but I wanted to make sure). I was turning the rear tire to turn the motor to line up TDC make on dizzy to timing mark when I noticed that the rotor wasn't turning with the rest of the motor. confused24.gif
I removed the dizzy and noticed that the right side tin was getting in the way of the dizzey being fully seated. adjusted it but the dizzy back in and she fire right up. smilie_pokal.gif
