Just installed the rennshift I bought from the classified section. Huge improvement in shifting feel! The slop is gone and the shifter doesn't wander around anymore. I know the rennshift kits are expensive, but I think they are worth every penny! I sat on the fence for 3 years before getting one, and now I wish I had pulled the trigger when I first found them. Is it hard to install?

That's next on my list.

At a stop, does it go into gear easily all the time?

It's easy to install, but tricky to adjust. I had my mechanic/friend do it b/c he had adjusted them before. Also you should replace all the bushings, and make sure clutch is properly adjusted. Mine shifts great now. Much more precise and shifts feel solid. Used to have a lot of slop (probably bushings) and very mushy. Hope that helps,

Unfortunately. The grinding at a stop sign is internal to the trams and won't go away with a shifter
