Constructed and maintained for 25 years by Porsche North America's Motorsports Dept, Andial engine builder, Peter Dawe. Purchased by then owner Tom Speach in 1983, Tom commissioned Peter Dawe to modify his 1972 Porsche 914 into a serious race car in 1985. Tom raced this car for 25 years, while Dawe maintained it beautifully.

Dawe took the car to the shell, lightened it to the current 1,650 lbs, complete!. The car is almost completely tube frame and has excellent welding and fabrication. Based on a lightened, shaved, honed and shuffle pinned 1984 911S magnesium case. It has Cosworth pistons, low tension piston rings, a cross drilled crank, Pauter rods and is 2.9 liters at 310 HP. Hot CDI ignition.

RaceLink, on Amelia Island, Fl. performed a leak down test and a compression test on this engine. The results are as follows: (1) 175, (2) 175, (3) 180, (4) 180, (5) 180 and (6) 175 PSI. (1) 3, (2) 1, (3) 1, (4) 1, (5) 1 and (6) 2%.

The transaxle is a lightened, close ration 901 competition box, with stiffening kit. Brakes are type 935 at the front and type 944 at the rear. 16" Ultra lite wheels and Hoosier slicks.

All of the mechanicals were rebuilt in 2008. The owner put six hours on the car and parked it in 2010. That is the exact hours on the car today. The low tension piston rings provide a 5-10% performance gain and it feels it. As a result of the low tension rings, some oil seeps past the rings while the car is idle and results in some somke at initial start up. This clears up once the engine is up to working RPM. The drivers seat needs to be re-covered.

Yesterday, the car was tested. Everything preformed properly. The car is brutally fast. It shifts smoothly, no grinding what so ever. The clutch works properly and the brakes are awesome! It is very tight and handles beautifully.

Freshly painted and new graphics applied, it is ready for your competition numbers and enjoy. $35,000.
