If its real, maybe.
If its not real, they do not want to sell it because its way to over priced.

At that price, shouldn’t they be touting twin plug heads?

I'd part with mine for 1/2 that. And... it has twin plug heads!

it's not a real GT
but they think it's worth, because they used lots of NOS factory original GT bits ...

Sorry, I wouldn't pay that much for one of the original /8's. The 914 simply does not have that much engineering in it, or history that would make that price legitimate.

Even at the same price they would be better off with your car! This thing looks like a cheap knock off in comparison.

Since the Magnus 911 hot rod went for $320,000, this seems like a deal

to a fair market value.

because they know, that their time will come
this car has some highly desirable factory original GT parts - of course NLA and most of them NOS
Freisinger has enaugh space to store it away till someone shows serious interest

+1, makes me wish I had more money for Larry's car.
In regards to the original posted car: only GT replica I'd pay that much for (if I had the money) would be ajserrano's car.

This is one of the great results of the Internet.
When someone tries to fabricate provenance they cannot get away with it for too long, there is just to many people that will call foul.
I hope no one gets suckered in by false claims.
Rich
-original oil cooler system GT(NOS*)
-original front hood, rear cover and bumpers GT(NOS*)
-original engine grill GT(NOS*)
-original brake calipers GT(NOS*)
-original factory enigine 2.0 type (901/25) No. 6408004 overhauled
-gearbox with lock, 904 main gear shaft Nürburgring special translation
-original Scheel seats with trais in good condition
-4 point belts 908 (NOS*)
-GT headlight opening system (NOS*)
This is all very expensive NLA stuff, I cannot imagine how much he paid for the 901/25 engine block. You can easily get into 6 figures for the parts alone and that is before you even buy a clean -6 chassis

The problem is it’s not a GT. If they had restored a GT or 914-6 with period racing history those parts would add value. But when you’re adding them to a tribute the parts end up having greater value on their own.

And once you take the nos part out of the bag and put it on the car, is it still nos? A really great nos find in the back of the warehouse or ebay isn't the same thing as a porsche built racecar. Eyecandy and bragging rights for the garage but it's not a gt.
