I have finally gotten to the point where I can begin the restoration of my 1974 914 1.8. This was the second car I owned (bought it used in 1976) and was my daily driver. It had been covered and up on jacks in my parents driveway since 1990, after I blew a valve. Couldn't get myself to part ways with it...vowing that someday I would get around to restoring it. Well, kids, a divorce, second marriage and I've finally gotten around to tear the car down and see what I've got to work with....23 years later! I will keep you all posted. Wish me luck.
