I know the five hole Mahle Gas Burners are the most sought after wheels but $4200?
I got five "Baby" 4 hole gas burners with almost new tires for $350 two years ago. At the requested price of $4200, I could get 12 sets of the Babies!

another of the things that the seller knows there is someone out there that just has to have them. .
Worth that much ?? I wouldn't pay that but some people have more money than resistance sometimes. .

I'd say overpriced but they are rare. I have seen multiple sets go in the $3500 range & go damn quick

Stop looking on eBay. Start looking on The Samba, you might need a little patients, but they show up regularly…

$4200 seems about right for a nice set of gasburners when you consider the asking prices for the cars they go on.
There was a nice set in the classifieds here recently for ~$1800, IIRC. Those were the cheapest I've see in the last 10 years.
These are the ultimate sleeper wheels for 914-6, IMO.

I love the Mahle on the 914-6
and will have set when the time is right. However right now it is all about the chassis and then the suspension is next.

Man, they have gone up in $$. I don't like them on 911's but think they are great on 914-6's
I would be starting to get worried about the Magnesium at this point. Magnesium gets very brittle with age

Every gas burner I've checked out over the last 20 or so years has had signs of corrosion and most had stress cracks. I wouldn't feel safe with putting them on my six now at any price, even though I love their looks.

Advertise them on the proper forum and they probably would have been sold by now.

Yeah Eric, I don't really want to sell them, but if some one offered a ridiculous amount of coin, I would sell them in a heart beat. Every one has their price.

No. I'm just thinking that price is always flexible and a moving target
