First I would like to thank all the folks that have contributed all the useful information on this forum, you have helped me a lot already. Thanks a bunch. I am considering putting Fuchs five lugs on my car. What size Fuchs five lug wheels would be the best fit for a narrow bodied 914 with stock suspension?
brant
6 in hers for sure on a stock fender. Some folks have been able to fit 7s by pulling the fenders. But 6s always work.

Thanks for the info Brant.

Look for 16 inch wheels. Your selection of tires will be larger than 15 inch.

So would you say a 50 series tire? 16x50x205 maybe?

Yes. That will work...

What look do you want?
Stock 914/6 came with 14" fuchs, which is what i just bought from Luke in NY, came off of his 914/6
He on the other hand i believe is going with 16"x 7", many on here have the 15'sx5.5 or 15x6's . just depends on what look you are going for.
These cars vary a lot since they were hand made. I currently have 15" empi on the 4 lug set up with 195/55's that with out rolling the rear fender lips, rubbed some. but other guys have had 205's with out an issue.

also think about what kind of ride you want, my current profile with sport suspension is really firm, whereas the taller tire absorbs some of that on the rough roads, so i will be putting 195/65 on my 14's which is a little lower than stock but about an inch bigger in diameter than my current set up.

I have run 15X6 Fuchs.

I currently run 15X7 Cookie Cutters with 185/95 tires and my speedo is dead on (verified by GPS). Sidewall of tire on drivers' rear is very close, but no mods and no rubbing.

I would like to try 15X7 Fuchs but they are stupidly expensive.

16 and above .... blah!

I run 16X6 Fuchs with 205x55's, and they barely fit under my stock fenders in the rear.

I have run 3 different Fuchs for the narrow bodied cars.

14 x 5.5, 15 x 6, and 16x6. I settled on the 15x6 as I like the vintage look and am not tracking the car. I liked both the 15" and 16", but am happy right now with the 15's.

14 x5.5 with 205/60/14 speedometer was off by @ 5mph at 65.

15 x 6 with 195/65/16 speedometer is accurate.

16 x 6 with 205/55/16 speedometer accurate but tight fit in back.
