I was so exited to bench start my engine today, I had everything hooked up as I was putting the oil filter, I noticed that the oil filter adapter / coupler does not fit the oil filter side a Valois oil tank, that I purchased.


Anyone here used one?

Two different threads on sixes .... early is a smaller diameter and later is a larger diameter as I remember. You need to get the oil filter that fits the threads. Mahle OC61 for 65 - 71 and Mahle OC54 for 72 and later.

Picked up a filter for a later (89) 911 and it fits.
