I am strongly considering purchasing an aftermarket sports center console to replace mine in my 1975 914 due to a few rips and aging.

Anyone out there have one of these? Its from 914ap.com

I'm told the difference is that you can see the stitching on the aftermarket consoles apposed to the vacuum vinyl originals.

If you're going for 100% stock "concourse" car, then it's not going to win you any points. THAT being said...they look great, and are much nicer than the stock ones (IMHO).

I have an older one with a built in sub. I like it, it is a lot better quality than the original for sure.
