Need a clutch/pressure plate for my track car. It worked fine before I built the engine up. Would like it to be a "friendly" set-up (don't like wheel hoop). Please help... Need to get back on the track

Hey Shane, I don't know at what point the stock clutch is no longer adequate, but FourBlades' 175 horse 2270 began slipping the stock clutch halfway through his first DE. Car had a big oil leak though, so that potentially could have been part of the problem. I would think the stock Sachs clutch should be able to handle a fair amount of power though.

Thanks Bill. Should of changed it while it was out. Oh well.

Ever dynoed that motor? How does it behave on the street with that camshaft?

I have about 30 miles on the engine and the camshaft is not to street friendly. The carbs are still set-up for the old engine. Hope it behaves better once those are dialed in, but my plans for this car was always for the track. Dyno was next, but the stock clutch died. Soon i hope.
