Hi Brant,
I got that pic from Jim Patrick who helped build that car. I hear it's pretty quick!
I hope Marc buys our old car too.....that would make it a Merry Xmas!
Believe it or not...I think it's doable...if things fall into place...a track car is pretty much a tub only...so you don't have much to go together other than the drive train.
The car is scheduled for paint the 2nd week of January. I have just received my Hoosier slicks via UPS. I have ordered (2) new sets of 16x10 rims due to ship to me the first week in January. My new seats have been ordered and are already on the truck coming my way. I will order the new racing harnesses (Teamtech) on Monday. I already have struts, brakes, pads, fuel cell.
My engine was dyno'd at Jerry Woods shop last week. I get the adjusted numbers on Monday....The engine was solid and good, no leaks or problems (I bought a 1995 993 3.6 pre-variocam motor with 35K miles out of a wrecking yard. You never know until you run them). My 915 box with Wevo sideshift conversion, 80% Guard LSD, and FIVE new close ratio gears is at Jerry Woods and will be finished by the first week of January. The only thing I haven't settled on is what fire system to buy....
That being said....I think I'll miss the first track date of February 19th. I'll be in Asia on a business trip for 2 or 3 weeks during the last part of January and the first part of February, so I'm pretty much hosed....but I'm going to try, assuming the paint goes on as scheduled.
Whew....lotsa stuff to do.
